I didn't watch Cone's or Wells's, so last night was thrilling for me. Not quite as thrilling as it was for Domingo German, but still.

Two triple plays in the same game by the Twins vs Red Sox in 1990 in Boston. Only time in MLB history. Twins still lost 1-0. I was there.

Two triple plays in the same game! Amazing.
I've only seen one while it occurred, and that was on TV.
Others were replays on the news or on Sportscenter.

That has to happen in rapid succession. I'm not denigrating someone pulling one off, but the conditions have to just right, and a bit of pure luck is needed.

A perfect game is over the span of 9 innings, and it would seem the stress would be exponentially greater.

Just a thought. They're both amazingly rare. 👏
