I have to get back into condition. Those hills were tough!
I love the feel of freedom that the bicycle gives me.

Spring was a bear this year.

The hills are a lot more fun on the way down. But there’s something about grinding your way up, cursing the day you were born, and suddenly it’s like “Yep, this is what I’m here for.”

Did you ever notice that the first time you go up a hill you haven’t gone up before, it’s really hard, but after a few more times it feels better just to know in advance that you can get up that sucker.

the chance of rain isn't too great. It's not looking good 70% but it was 60% today and it hasn't rained yet.

Riding in the rain just makes you appreciate not riding in the rain more.

wasn't wrong we had a 29% chance of no rain and a 71% chance of rain. I wish I was paid to be
wrong every day.

...and frankly, it felt great. Sometimes catching some rain on a ride is better than being broiled alive. I went from Cape May to Pennsville last summer one day when I swear the gates of Hell had been unleashed on earth.
