Theyve been pretty plentiful this year up until today I havent seen any. I wonder if theyve started their southern migration already. I always get a kind of melancholia when they leave. This one is from last weekend.

mainly because of the drought. The males who arrived in spring, were already gone by end of July. There have been a couple of males passing through on their way south last week, as well as several thin juveniles, but the the summer females are still here guarding the territory and fighting.
