Justin Fields Sets Record For Running Yards As QB

Broke Michael Vick’s record yesterday against Miami.
Bears lost but it was an entertaining game. Fields also completed over 60% of his passes but had 4 drops that would have been worth around 70 yards.
I’m hoping Claypool, once he’s up to speed will improve that.
At least we’re going to get a good draft position, plus there will be $100 million of cap money freed up next year.

But, he wasn’t until this game. Montgomery & Herbert have been.
The O-Line is WAY better at run blocking than pass protection.
Other than Mooney, there are no receivers who can actually catch the ball reliably.
Line can’t protect, receivers can’t catch.
Fields was running for his life anyway. Might as well have him try to run forward. Plus, he’s learning to get out of bounds or slide, which he wasn’t doing earlier.
I’d rather see him airing it out, but to whom?

Find out what Allen did to refine his passing accuracy. When Josh Allen came into the NFL, his passing accuracy was terrible the first two seasons. I know having Diggs helps Allen immensely, and getting Fields a true WR1 would help. If Fields can develop into an effective passer, he is going to become a very difficult QB to defend (think Josh Allen with better speed).

What you say: "At least we’re going to get a good draft position, plus there will be $100 million of cap money freed up next year."

Sky's the limit ... with the right moves.
