2. Not the only reason, but a significant contributing factor.

It helped that Brady's teammates would often play for potentially lower pay than the market might warrant just to be part of a winning team. Made it much easier to bring in and keep good players.

He accepted lesser contracts than he could have commanded to ensure he was surrounded by better talent.

It paid off for everyone.

When the Packers dumped Mike McCarthy in 2018, Rodgers said he had "the lowest football IQ of anyone who's ever coached me". McCarthy coached the Packers to a SuperBowl win in 2011, and he's currently coaching the 8-3 Dallas Cowboys. Some people blame the coach for everything. Sometimes blame is deserved and often its not.

5. Most NE fans would agree with Rex....now.

Boston Sports radio is done with Bill's performance this year. His schtick after games was always a dour exercise, but now it really has worn thin. Since Brady left, NE has fallen into into the AFC cellar.
