Are his days with the Patriots over? Is his coaching career done?

(20,295 posts)It's said that Belichick really wants to own that. He's only 16 wins away from that. Do you figure no other NFL team will give Belichick a job?

(5,044 posts)the man is a living legend, so there will be some owners willing to pay a king's ransom for his services. Does he just walk away, though? I mean, there zero left for him to prove to this point and he'll retire as the GOAT. Maybe he'll chuck it all and just spend his days on his boat. I could be projecting.

(5,044 posts)I was implying. Most others' books too, I would venture to guess. If he feels differently, then good luck to him.

(20,295 posts)No head coach in NFL history has lost more games than Bill Belichick.
The Patriots loss to the Jets on Sunday was the 165th regular-season loss of Belichicks coaching career. That moves him into a three-way tie with Dan Reeves and Jeff Fisher for the most regular-season losses in NFL history.
Counting the postseason, Belichick has lost 178 games in his head-coaching career. That also ties him for the most ever, with Tom Landry, who also lost 178 games combined between the regular season and the postseason.
