Deshaun Watson is likely done for the season after suffering a right Achilles tendon injury in the second quarter Oct. 20 in the Browns game with the Cincinnati Bengals at Huntington Bank Field. And thats the worst of it, as far as Myles Garrett is concerned.

Garrett was the last player to pat Watson on the back before the cart left the field. Naturally, he said it was difficult seeing a player injured.
It was harder to see the reaction the fans gave, Garrett said. Whether an opponent goes down or one of our own, we dont boo guys being hurt, especially when the cart comes out. We should be ashamed of ourselves as Browns and fans to boo anyone and their downfall a season-altering, career-altering injury.
The mans not perfect. He doesnt need to be. None if us are. You cant judge him for what he does off the field or on the field. I cant throw stones at my glass house.

Yeah. Don't cheer a sports injury.

(8,823 posts)Deshaun Watson is playing poor football and is a rather shitty person, but that was classless. Maybe shitty fans got the shitty team and QB they deserve.

(34,711 posts)But Browns fans do not have any class. This happened before with Tim Couch (I believe). They cheered when he got injured. Really bad form, Browns fans. I dont care how odious the player is. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

(8,612 posts)I unfortunately read a lot of sports related social media. There isnt one thing DeShawn Watson could do to convince internet bullies to give him a chance. I believe it got to his head and tanked his confidence.
Please understand I do not apologize for his civil troubles. He paid money and settled a lot of cases. Perhaps he was an asshole, who knows for sure, but the legal system didnt find he was criminal.
But it seems as though the Neanderthal bullies did not understand that the 2 Houston Grand Juries did not return one case of probable cause for indictment among 22 claimants. Hes been called a rapist from day one, culminating in yesterday by booing his injury.
The fans did all they could to drive him out.
Fans are not held to a beyond reasonable doubt standard.
I can't believe I'm reading a defense of this cretin's actions here are DU.
He's a sexual abuser, whether a DA could indict or not.
If he didn't want accusations getting into his head, the solution was not for us to give him a break, but for him to have behaved better in the first place.
Defending him is tone deaf.

(8,612 posts)want any of the bullies who cheered his injury to ever sit on a jury and judge me by their opinions instead of the facts.
