Last I saw..

KC was a 2.5 pt underdog against Buffalo. They've got some guys coming back though.

"Chiefs plan to designate running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive lineman Charles Omenihu for returning from Injured Reserve this week."

I was pretty good betting on football.

The first thing that I learned was about bookies' point spreads. A 2.5 point underdog does not mean that the bookies believe that Buffalo will beat Kansas City by 2.5 points. It means that making the spread 2.5 points should get an equal number of people betting for Buffalo and Kansas City.

If I saw a pointspread that appeared to be off, that appears that, in your example, everyone should take Kansas City and the points, from my experience, Don't Do it. The spread may change between now and game time so that will tell who people are betting on, which cancels out what I just posted.

I've had pretty good luck through the years interpreting that 2.5 to mean it will be a close game with buffalo winning. If I was a betting man, I might try to understand point spreads, etc. But could care less...

those two will play this weekend and now Butker is out with knee injury. Will the Bills game be the Chiefs first loss of the season? Your thoughts.
