Power Outage at Candlestick Park
Posted on December 19, 2011 at 5:29 pm by Kevin Lynch in 49ers
The power at Candlestick Park. If youre at the stadium the power should be back up shortly according to the 49ers. Apparently a transformer outside the stadium went down and the city is trying switching to a different power source.

(68,918 posts)They showed video of it, from inside the stadium, (lighting up the sky above the stands) while they were waiting for the power to come back on. That transformer blow was quite large.

70,000 fans in dim light is a high security and safety risk!

(592 posts)couple of high school games, not going to say how long ago that was, where transformers blew and the lights went out. Both happened in rain. It was pretty cool, even though when I heard the explosions I thought I was going to shit myself.
