San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa was recognized as the NFL Rookie of the Year, the Pro Football Writers of America announced on Tuesday morning.
Bosa was not just NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He won that, too. But the writers selected him as the best rookie in the league, period.

Hot damn!
Kudos to 49ers rookie linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who was named to the first-team all-rookie defense. Both Bosa and Greenlaw were products of the 2019 draft.
Special mention goes to defensive line players Dee Ford, DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead, Ronald Blair III (IR) and D.J. Jones (IR) whose awesome contributions helped Bosa excel -- plus LBs Greenlaw, Alexendar, and Fred Warner -- and all the other players, DC Robert Saleh, and position coaches.

Packers offense is going to have a use a lot of play-action ... a lot of movement. That includes Rogers. He'll have to roll-out often, and throw a lot of screens to the RBs, forcing one or two linemen into coverage. Teams that had mobile QBs -- Arizona, Seattle, Baltimore -- gave S.F. the most trouble. If Rogers stays mostly in the pocket he's toast.
