and haven't really been contenders since the mid-90s when Jimmy Johnson was there. That fact shows who the real brain behind the team's success way back then was.
Jerry needs to step aside and let his son run the show as they're in the weakest division in the NFL and are the only team in it with no chance of winning the division.

(5,769 posts)who had to endure defeats at the hands of the Cowboys in many championship games over the decades, I'm always very happy whenever the Cowboys lose a game. This particular season is pure gold for me.
Keep up the good work Jerry.

(16,307 posts)I liked Millen fine as a player (49ers being my local team), and as announcer/commentator (I thought he was pretty good at that at the time), but from afar his stint as a GM looked like an incredible disaster. A Lions fan would know better, of course.
Jones would not have lasted to the end of his first contract if he were hired as a GM by a random team. Didn't he cut a D limeman for "being overweight" this year, after signing him as a veteran free agent this past off-season despite him being that much overweight? Fucking egomaniac. Admit you were wrong about the guy being any good. Admit your defense sucks because you hired the wrong people. Fragile bullshit artist.

(31,808 posts)Do the Cowboys even have a "football guy" in the front office? The website lists 4 Jones. None have played or coached in the NFL. What kind of impact on personnel does Mike McCarthy have? Mike Nolan is the new DC too. The coaching experience is there. Maybe there's a rebuilding effort underway we don't know about?
