Someone explain to me how Notre Dame is in the playoffs and Texas A&M is not?

2. Maybe not for AL, but every other result in 2020 has an asterisk behind it, IMO.

3. My opinion: It has to do with money.

This is just my opinion, and I am no expert.

But, having followed college football for over 50 years, it's money that drove the decision. Notre Dame has a nation-wide fan base; A&M does not. Notre Dame draws more TV viewers than A&M.

5. Several reasons

Notre Dame had the best regular season win this season with the victory over Clemson. Also had a road win over 15th-ranked North Carolina. And the SEC is not as good as it has been overall and A&M had three close wins over teams that were mediocre or not good, like LSU.

And no, I am definitely not a ND fan. Just pointing out facts.

The virus has thrown a monkey wrench into everything that has to do with 2020. There needs to be an asterisk beside the Dodgers' World Series win too. Along with whatever else happens in the world of sports.
