for Alabama than Notre Dame. Texas A&M, another one loss team, would at least have put up a good fight. Unlike A&M, The Irish have a national fan base but no one thought they really ha a chance.

But I hear you, the ND/Ala pair up was a bit ridiculous.
They did a good job against OSU last week though.

Yes they lost by a last second FG to Georgia but the playoff system in FBS is BS.
Texas A&M's 1 loss was a blowout loss to Alabama so not sure it would have made a difference.
National fan bases should not be a consideration.
