And then there's Brett Favre spouting off again about sports and politics.

NFL legend Brett Favre slams woke sports: “I want to watch the game'“

Legendary NFL quarterback Brett Favre said he wants athletes and leagues to keep politics out of sporting events.

“I think both sides, for the most part, want to see it just remain about the sport, not about politics,” Favre said during an interview this week. “At least, that’s my interpretation. I know when I turn on a game, I want to watch the game. I want to watch players play and teams win, lose, come from behind. I want to watch all the, you know, important parts of the game, not what’s going on outside of the game. And I think the general fan feels the same way.”

Favre, who played most of his Hall of Fame career for the Green Bay Packers, started his time in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, whose city just lost Major League Baseball's All-Star Game after Georgia’s Republican-controlled government passed a new election security law that critics have likened to the Jim Crow era.

But Favre said he believes sports are better as a unifying force, something that can bring people of all races together.

When Sports was supporting the "heroism" of the soldiers that gave their lives to "protect" us in Iraq.

People like Favre make it political when they get their undies into a tight bundle when somebody exercise their freedom (like stand for the national anthem) in a way that they don't like but doesn't directly impact him.

Fuck Favre. He always struck me as the type of jock that bullied others in school. Rodgers is a better QB.

If Favre can still chum around with trump after all the chaos he caused on Jan. 6th, it speaks a lot about his character.

Sports is where the nation had to confront racism and exclusion. Tell the idiot that sports is always intertwined in politics.

"Black Lives Matter" is totally unifying... unless, you know, you don't think Black lives matter?

He doesn't want to hear politics he disagrees with. SO he'll inject his politics into sports. Got it.

I don't like having to sit through jingoistic military displays before football games. I don't like the war metaphors that spill over to sports so jocks view being a fan with participating in a battle. I don't like sports stations filling air time with Right wing bullshit and lies.

For athletes to be so blatantly racist is especially deplorable, because the ball doesn't give a rat's ass what color the players are.

Farve is a has been who stayed too long.
