Related: About this forumWhat's your opinion of Packers QB Jordan Love?
He's the QB drafted in 2020 to replace Aaron Rodgers, and Rodgers got all pissy about it.
Rogers aside, I think Jordan Love is a dud. I do not see him as becoming a reliable starting QB in this lifetime.
Am I missing something?

(9,629 posts)He won't be as good of a passer as Rodgers. But Rodgers didn't look good in his limited playing time in his first 2 years, either.
I see Jordan as having the potential to be more Favre-like.

(2,917 posts)The best predictor of long term success in the NFL is accuracy. Not completion percentage or running ability or anything else.
If a college QB throws inaccurately to wide open targets, (think all the Oklahoma and Oregon and Alabama QBs) he will not be successful long term in the pros.
The only QB prospect to get more accurate in the NFL has been Josh Allen in Buffalo. He will be successful if he doesn't get hurt running.
Lamar Jackson has not. He is just as inaccurate throwing the ball. He will not be long term successful whether or not he gets hurt from running.
So, my best guess is that he could be good. But the Packers are more than $40 million over the cap, so there may be no money for a good offensive line. Best way to ruin a QB is a bad line.
