Modding is the act of modifying a PC game or ROM/ISO of a console game.
How does DU feel about mods? I love mods personally.
Know what my favorite type of mod is?
That's right! Restoration of cut content which at times can be toughest sort of mod to create.
I ZM90 am what you call a "beta restorer",to put it plainly I modify games to restore beta/cut content.
I strongly believe in the preservation of gaming history and one crucial way to preserve gaming history I believe that can be used other than the leaking of prototypes on the internet is to mod games restoring cut content.
I am currently working on a project to restore the cut content within Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The project is on hiatus until Jan. 2 though due to college and spending time with my family for the holidays.
I love all beta content, and I believe it is a important part of gaming history.
How does DU feel about beta content and the restoration of it?

(4,261 posts)I also very much like the Morrowind Sound and Graphic Overhaul mod project. Mod content for games such as Neverwinter Nights I&II increases the playability and therefore the value of those games.
So I am in favor, yes.

(706 posts)The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod or TSLRCM. The latest version of TSLRCM is 1.7. You can actually find info about my KotOR1 Restoration on the same site as well. The site is www.deadlystream.com

(706 posts)could easily get a copy I've seen them being sold new, plus you could always get a copy online if walking into a store doesn't work. It shouldn't be too expensive,at least I hope not. With the restored content mod though TSL goes from being a pretty good game to a amazing game. Basically I give the original TSL 8/10 and I give the restored TSL 10/10.

(4,261 posts)Thankyou, as I recently got it off of steam. BTW any tips on getting KOTORII running in Windows 7? With KOTORI I set the core affinity to 1 and v-sync to on and have no problems, any like settings for TSL?

(706 posts)You might check over at Deadly Stream though they could probably help you. You'll have to register to download TSLRCM anyway. Don't worry registration is of course free .
