Does anyone know if a Sony Playstation 3 with Blueray will play a musical CD?

I have some meditation and musical type CDs, but my old CD player for some reason won't play them although it will play other musical CDs.

So I thought of trying my Sony Playstation but I didn't want to mess something up.

You can also download the cd onto the hard drive and play it whenever you want.

There are different, moving backgrounds you can watch while listening to your music.
