Related: About this forumThe Rubber-banding A.I. in Mario Kart is a Cheating Bastard
This game has driven me to a depth of frustration I've never experienced with any game. It sucks without bounds.
Note to Nintendo: Please stop putting cheap A.I. in Mario Kart games. It's not fun, nor is it challenging. It's just fake difficulty and annoying. Period. I'm tired of having massive leads in 150cc only to see computer-controlled characters speeding up and catching me in no time. Every time I hit them with one of my items, they catch up within a few seconds, but when I get hit, it's tough to get back in 1st place.

(21,894 posts)Gah... It has been ages since I played one... SNES was the last time I think. Back then, you had to take full advantage of your racers strength. I always found it easiest to go with the one that had the lowest top speed but the best handling.

(8,040 posts)You know, I was almost okay with giving the last place guy some advantages by giving him the best powerups. Fair enough, he still needs to know how to use the power up well to get back into contention (although the bullet power is seriously over powered). But rubber-banding drives me crazy. I sometimes don't wanna just be good...I want to be "lapping your pathetic ass" good. You should at least have the option to turn it off.
