I have a Centurion 690 case, with 4 drives, a DVD, 2 460 GTX's in SLI and an overclocked i5 @ 4.5ghz and an 850w Thermaltake PSU. Now mind you, I expect to have to have fans spinning constantly, and have six of them, but three of them died at the same time. I'm looking for six that are quality fans. They MUST move at least 85cm of air, be below 40 dcb, and be in a 120mm configuration. The two exceptions are the bottom and the side which can take 140mm.
Suggestions? I love Scythe, but those are the two that died on me. Money is as object since I'm not planning on switching to watercooling, but on air, I'd like economical suggestions.
(I'm not counting the CPU fan as one of the case mounts, nor the video card fans, either). Those are a whole other ball game.
And when I say money is an object, it isn't the only object. It's way behind quiet and air flow.
I'm looking for something lasting, with airflow that is good without it sounding like a Sunon (which are second to none in airflow, but sound like a plane taking off all of the time - fantastic in the server room, horrible in the well, the any room in the house).

(18,807 posts)Never seen a machine this quiet that wasn't all solid-state anyway. It's like there's a hole in the noise unless I'm playing a game that really pushes my system.

(39,961 posts)for overclocking. You can't have two video cards, an overclocked processor and 5 drives and expect there to be no heat or noise LOL. That's why I got frustrated when my fan died and boom ... I dropped out of GW2 because it overheated when the fan died.
