(21,894 posts)I'm guessing it is either running the game while the executable is still on the server or that once a game is downloaded, it can run on any computer on your network.

(776 posts)Far as I know this is all connected to the Steambox. The idea being that, for the games that the Steambox can't run natively (SteamOS being based on Linux), you can run them on your Windows computer, stream them to the Steambox and play them on your TV.
Knowing Valve this is probably not going to be limited to the Steambox, but you're going to be able to stream games from any computer in your network to any computer in your network (of course only if the computer the game is running on has the horsepower to do so).
But this is all just my speculation from general information I have read about the Steambox. I have not done any in depth reading on the topic.
