I am sorry but I have no wish to see this guy EVER win a NASCAR race. He is 30 years old now and today was his best chance EVER. The pic below speaks for itself from 2020. Damn I was so busy today doing things with the race on in the background. This guy is NEVER in contention ... so when I heard the announcers bla bla blaing about what a great guy he was, and taking a 'a photo op' with some guy in a wheelchair .... I cringed a bit and watched the last maybe 20 laps of the race. Yep was rooting for anybody but La Joie !!! Wasn't disappointed. Great Race. Peace.
Elliott took the lead with two laps to go Sunday afternoon, then narrowly staved off a charge from Corey LaJoie that ended with LaJoie crashing in Turn 2. The race subsequently ended under caution, with Elliott claiming his third win of the 2022 Cup season.
LaJoie, who entered Sunday 31st in Cup points and was seeking to score an upset victory, was unofficially credited with a 21st-place finish. -snip-

He has never won a Nascar race, and hope he never will. Peace. No quarter in life, no surrender, onward.

(531 posts)I celebrate anyone but him or William Byron (Liberty Universitysponsored car) winning.
I actually am a fan of Bubba Wallace, and Ryan Blaney. Both of whom are progressive. Good guys.

(7,132 posts)Didn't know that about Ryan Blaney ... new on my rooting list! Denny Hamlin I think is somehow involved with the Bubba Wallace team too so I lean his way too.
