(9,200 posts)I live in SW Oregon. Dry summers. Hot summers. Mostly mild winters. (Zone 8) I have Brown Turkey and Kadota. Require no care whatsoever, lol. Yields every year require you process. Too many to eat fresh.
Edit to add... readily propagated by air layering.

NO CARE from me, or from neighbor/landlords family either. Southern MD.

(2,354 posts)Is overflowing. I thought I'd killed it several times by not protecting it in the winter, but it's always come back. It's loaded this year. I've made fig jam before & may again. So far, I've just been picking and eating and sharing the bounty.
Fig jam on a rye rocks! Wish I could get some homemade self-grown stuff over here
