Guardiola Out!

What a humiliation! Undone by naive defending against two set pieces in just 20 minutes.

My subject line was slightly ironic; the man won the domestic double after all. Still, the manner of this semi-final loss against Real should rankle the Bayern fans and gerontocracy.

It'll be so much easier to replace the manager than to remake the team around the manager. Pep is who he is, and he hasn't and won't make Bayern any better. He's had a decent run but it's his time to go.

This sucks.

That's the kind of mistake you can get away with versus bottom-of-the-table teams in the Bundesliga. Against Real Madrid...not so much.

Still thrilled to death to see Bayern this summer here in Portland for the MLS All Star Game...and yes, I have my ticket!
