I suspect that contrary to what the likes of Piers Morgan would have you believe, he will be an extremely tough manager for Arsenal to replace.

Arsene Wenger is to leave Arsenal at the end of the season, ending a near 22-year reign as manager.

The Frenchman departs a year before his latest contract was due to expire.

The Gunners are sixth in the league and set to miss out on a top-four spot for the second straight season, with their hopes of reaching the Champions League resting on winning the Europa League.

Wenger, 68, won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, including the Double in 1998 and 2002.

1. A true gentleman with integrity and responsible for tremendous innovation in English football.

But it's been past time for him to go for some years now. Hopefully he'll go out on a high with a UEFA cup victory, and at least now he won't have to go through the indignity of being sacked. Now he can be remembered as one of the giants of the modern game.

No, I honestly can't think of who I want to replace him. It seems Tuchel is going to PSG (his wife is French, I believe).

2. To be brutally honest

Arsenal fans have been utterly spoilt by success and don't realise just how great they have had things during the Wenger era, even in recent years. For instance, when other teams win the FA Cup it's a big deal, when Arsenal win it their fans seem surprisingly uninterested.

It's difficult to see how replacing Wenger is going to be in any way an easy task. Could even lead to Arsenal going into much steeper decline.
