Looking for offbeat things to do/see in London

Going in September and have been there numerous times. And it seems like we've don just about everything except the V&A and the war museum. Any suggestions for fun and different things to see? Also, what are some interesting day trips we can take?

Museum of surgery. Camden yards on a Saturday (watch pickpockets)

Salisbury. On Wednesdays, the mayor has tea for visitors to the city.

Have you done the Tower of London ceremony of the keys?

Write now and get a pass for House of Lords when they are not in session.

Jack the Ripper tours. They are all good.

Take and early train to Dover and take a day trip to Calais.

I wouldn't go to Oxford. I watch PBS's Morse, Endeavor, and there seems to be a murder in Oxford every other week. (Yes, Agnes, its a joke)

Cambridge -- I believe it is the Eagle Tavern where WW II pilots used cigarette lighters to put their initials on the ceiling.

Churchill's WW II war rooms.

Greenwich and the Prime Meridian.

It is huge and it is wonderful. There is a whole room filled only with decorative little snuff boxes. Another with silver tea pots, etc. We didn't get to see it all, but well worth the trip.

Seen Harrod's and Selfridges?

St. James Park to feed the birds?

Take a train out to near suburbs to see them? The train itself is fun.

I assume you've been out to Windsor Castle? Queen Mary's Dollhouse, the chapel and the main house. The village of Windsor.

If you wanted a day trip, go and see Stonehenge.

And if you could get up to York--a very cute old town with an ancient wall around it (that you can walk on), a museum, and a huge railroad museum if you like trains. Lots of interesting places to eat and shop. Remnants of the Vikings who first founded it.
