36 Hours in Parma, Italy

(for sentimental reasons. Stopped there for lunch, during our honeymoon. Was a great lunch! Long time ago, and sorry don't have name of ristorante.)

This riverside city may be synonymous with fine food — Parma ham, Parmesan — but it also satisfies appetites for art, music and history.

DANGEROUS except there's no chance I'd go out looking for some now: Too HOT here, and too FAR to go!

I'll be planning my very first trip to Europe (at age 68) soon. I'm planning to start in Florence and end up in Munich/Bavaria. I noticed Parma is north of Florence, and I figure I have to pay homage to the cheese.
