Beatles music, Christmas story come together at suburban Chicago church

From the article:

Community Christian Church’s annual Christmas pageant includes all the classics.
There’s “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Away in a Manger.”
And everyone's favorite sing-a-long: “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”
The church's annual “Let It Be Christmas: The Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, George and Ringo” sets the story of Jesus’ birth, which Christians celebrate at Christmas, to the music of the Beatles.
It mixes Scripture, songs and dance into what Community calls a “magical mystery tour through the gospels to tell the greatest story of all time, with the greatest music of all time!”

Even smaller amount of counter protesters.

Cold night, but worthwhile. When's the next one?

We registered ours with MoveOn. Quite a few of the people at our event said that they had never protested before this. They liked the group solidarity.

Congratulations on yours.

And Mother Mary in Let It Be was Paul's mother, not the "Virgin" Mary.

But all things must pass.

Beware of greedy leaders

They just want to grow, grow and grow
Beware of darkness"

The years of saturation have left Christmas music a source of such profound irritation that the mere recollection of these tunes unbalances and depresses me.

Yay capitalism.

The mall had a soundtrack that played the same 45 minute loop all day. So in a typical 6 hour day, she heard the same songs 8 times.

Yes, capitalism in action. Monetize everything.
