Theanine- has anyone ever taken this supplement?

I read about it and began taking it about a month ago with my tea and I have found that it has helped me calm down so very much. About almost everything. And I notice when I get all upset- it is much clearer to me that I am upset as I can then really feel the calming down afterwards. I did not realize that I was in an almost constant state of near panic most of the time until I added this supplement.

Anyone else ever try this supplement?

I did for quite a while. It worked VERY well for my anxiety, panic - and maybe depression. So much so I stopped my meds and I was great for quite a while. Then the store that carried the brand I took closed. I took some other brands, but they didn't seem to work as well for me. I started taking higher doses, but didn't help much. It got to a point the it was cheaper to go back on the prescription drugs.

Though the anti-anxiety ones are still not as effective as the L-theanine was. hmmm - I may have to give it another try. I wish to hell I could remember the name of the mfg of the one I liked!

I bought the first bottle at my Coop, but then tried Vitacost online as it was way cheaper. Now I see that Whole Foods has it at the same price as Vitacost. All this is the Suntheanine® type.

I hope you remember it's name too.

I just am surprised as I did not even know that I was so worried and prone to panic until I was experiencing enough time not in that state.

Thanks.

I cannot find any side effects online. I am very happy to be experiencing so much time not nervous or frightened. It is helping me a lot with this election.

those 2. I can't take the 5htp in the morning because it interacts with my meds and I get over saturated with seretonin. I want to switch out to the supplements, but haven't just yet. I'm building up my brain with the supplements first and then will taper off in another month, after my surgery.

How nice it is to be able to come hear and learn and share. Help and be helped.

Thank you again.
