For my beautiful Friends here: 3 Minutes that will leave you grinning, I promise.
I wish I could gather you all and we'd head to a cabin in the snowy woods and light the fireplace, sing carols, tell crazy Christmas stories, make snow angels and drink lots of toddies. Colorado preferably
Your love and support have brought me through this year, to a much better place of hope and peace ( most days ) The boy is OKAY!!!!! Engaged to a beautiful woman - with a PhD I might add braggingly. She makes awesome home brewed beer and is an amazing person perfect for him - neither one of them can sit still.
Now, she is named the same thing as another son's wife, whom I also consider my daughter, ( she is as beloved as my son she married.) But..if all 5 sons pick someone with the same name, it might get interesting
Thank you for being there for some really bad moments. You lifted me up many times this past year, more than you know.
I hope all of your sweetest dreams are met this coming year.
Enjoy:
I hope all of you have a fantabulous holiday season. Even if you are alone, you're never really alone. And don't let the cat steal your bed!

(18,186 posts)Yes, I am thrilled that he is okay now. Wish I could elaborate more, but I have to be mum for now.
And I hope your New Year is the best ever ever ever!

(18,186 posts)And I always call my sons by their wrong names. ( Only one girl, but I'll call her my sister's name sometimes.) They've all learned to just deal with it, but they will each say, "I'm not______, I'm ______" in a real flat voice to get me.
Well, we have a bunch of friends who run a restaurant and when youngest son came to visit, he and his new bride took me there.
One of the brothers waited on us and I called him by one of the other brother's names. My son said:
"Well, that makes me feel better. You even call other people's kids by the wrong names." It was funny as hell.
And I still struggle to remember the names of the gals - EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE THE SAME NAME.
Old age is fun....
The best to you, NJCher!

(18,186 posts)One of the few cards I got this year was from an ASAHer ( you know who you are, Howler!!!! ) even though I owe her some artwork. She is a GEM.
Hope you have the most awesome New Year ever in the history of the world, Sienna86!

(18,186 posts)Another friend called me recently to come to a farm with her, she needed someone to ride a horse she was thinking of getting but I couldn't go. This lady has a farm you wouldn't believe, I try not to be jealous
Did your new baby show up? How is your other girl handling it, if so?
Hope you have the bestest new year ever, Beautiful Lady!!!!

(14,881 posts)Pickup is tomorrow morning. I'm starting to get excited. I think she'll get here this time.

It will be fun to see how the girls do with each other. Your Arab is gonna probably be thrilled with a new herd mate.
Be careful and let us know when you get your new baby!

(14,881 posts)I will spend today cleaning instead. And nursing headache.
Tsiyu
(18,186 posts)The waiting has got to be stressful.
But it will all work out I know. Hope that headache went away. I have been writing articles all day to make money, so I can relate to that, but a few strong cups of coffee seem to have helped.
Hang in there, mt!
magical thyme
(14,881 posts)has cleared up the headache. I'm fighting off a cold, and so far winning.
He's hoping to get his paperwork cleared up tomorrow, in which case she comes Saturday. Otherwise, the last time he bagged, the breeder said she will do it herself for the same price after the new year, so I still have backup.
But it's frustrating...
magical thyme
(14,881 posts)He didn't bother to update me. Now I am pissed. He's dragged this out for 2 weeks. Her health papers will expire soon and because he dragged it out, I didn't look for backup transportation.
I'm starting to think I've been set up and robbed.
Tsiyu
(18,186 posts)Give me his number! I'll go kick butt if that's true!
Who is this transporter? If this keeps dragging out, you need to let people in the horse community know who this guy is.
Maybe threaten legal action?
I hope this is just a glitch and all will be resolved. Lighting a candle for you, Woman, because this is not right.

Hopefully the person I'm buying from will come through. She recommended this turkey.
Tsiyu
(18,186 posts)Since she recommended him, she should try to make this right for you.
I surely hope it will all work out. Good Juju sent to you and your equines.
Keep us posted.
I'm off to get my critters some foods now.....back atcha later mt
magical thyme
(14,881 posts)so she was trying to make it right. It just was awful to get home after a horrible day at work and find no update from anybody. Same thing this am. Still no updates from anybody. For all I know, he could show up at 11pm prolly not, though.
I left him a nasty phone message in the middle of the night. Only the 2nd time in a dozen or more calls that his mailbox wasn't full.
Have a good rest of the day! Thank you for the juju...I clearly could use some

(14,881 posts)In the meantime, I googled a different way than before for horse transport and came up with the Canter NE web page that lists truckers that they use and recommend. One is based 2 hours east of the breeder, so I'm going to call him this afternoon to see if he's still in business and doing any runs this way. If he works with Canter he probably also works with the Finger Lakes rescues, although there's not likely to be anybody bringing ottb rescues in this time of year...that's usually in the fall when trainer's are dumping them so they don't have to haul them to Florida. Still it's worth a call.
Now that I've heard from the breeder I feel much better. I've had so many bad experiences with professionals, top to bottom, so I was very worried not hearing from her. But I know she runs a large operation there, so probably works before sunup to well after sundown.
