The coming supermoon?
Are there any astrologists here who have insights about how this will affect us?

(4,192 posts)Just FYI... quick Google on the next supermoon...
"Next Supermoon December 2017. The next Supermoon will be on December 3, 2017. The Supermoon on November 14, 2016, was the closest since January 26, 1948. The next time a Full Moon will come even closer to Earth is on November 25, 2034 (dates based on UTC time)."
I'm not an astrologer so can't really answer your question. But I'd be interested in what others have to say. We've had some fairly significant events this year related to the moon, not the least of which was the shadow of the eclipse essentially cutting the US in half. Seems apropos for the times, doesn't it? Also, I went out on some bike rides this summer during some of the full moons and my experience of them was interesting, maybe because I was paying more attention. I would describe it as having a light shone brightly on my dark side. Nothing evil, just the more "negative" things going on were brought up in my mind in a way that was like "look at this, it's serious and needs to be dealt with". I'll leave it at that but it's why I'd like to hear what others have to say about it.

Along the lines of retrograde Mercury. That happens a lot. Again, I'm not suggesting it's not astrologically important, but I am saying that it's a relatively common occurrence. Wish I could be more helpful, and hope that someone here can be.

(1,216 posts)But in summary, watch for a surfeit of strong storms and seismic activity from December 30 into January 5. And figure on a run of strong geomagnetic storms (Kp 5+) and X-Ray storms (M and X class) playing havoc with electrical systems and infrastructure (including our own bioelectrical systems).

Remember, as in anything else in astrology, there has to be an aspect to your chart to have a significant effect. (It's 11 Cancer.)
