Past life regression

I wasn't sure where to post this, but, here goes:

I'm 67 years old. I've been on a spiritual path for several years. I was motivated to go on a spiritual path because of a rather dysfunctional family I was born into.

It may take me several more years, and possibly more lifetime(s) before my past lives are revealed to me. I would like to know sooner what I did in previous incarnations that landed me in the family I was born into.

I'm willing to do a regression, but it's not cheap. The regression would have to be worth it to me. The person doing it would have to be very good at it.

I was just wondering if anyone has gone through a past life regression.

Perhaps explore the metaphysical idea that you actually chose to be born into the family you were born into, and explore -- within yourself -- why that might have been. I also found it very illuminating to put myself in each parent's shoes and imagine how they were brought up -- family circumstances, character of relative grandparents, etc -- to begin to understand how/why they parented me as they did -- it all quickly became obvious.

Best of everything on your journey!

misunderstood as having a punitive quality. No. You may well have chosen a family whose difficult nature would practically insure that you have to look elsewhere for comfort, a sense of safety, that the family couldn't provide. Et voila! The more you know about the other dimensions, spiritual or vibrational levels, you'll come to realize that that is where true comfort and communication lies.

Before embarking on regression, I suggest you listen to every near death video you can. These will let you see the nature of usually the first dimension... and it's so mind boggling, one can barely imagine what the higher levels are like. A word of caution: the majority of English speaking videos contain a Jesus encounter. Jews, atheists, Muslims... anyone can encounter the Jesus figure. Some videos will use this as evidence that everything about Christianity is true. We know from the antigay, Trump humping, rifle toting Christians that Christianity is absolutely not getting across the character of the Jesus figure. Also, in every video I've watched, the soul or Mind identifies the figure as Jesus. Only once have I heard the soul ask for an ID. The response: I have had many names, but most call me Jesus.
Most NDErs maintain that the experience exposes the shortcomings of any one religion.

My kindles aren't working properly or I'd try to find the name of a woman in Houston who's videos I've listened to. She either contacts or has a guide who contacts your akashic history and gives the past lives which most relate to the purpose of this life. I was very impressed with how her findings helped her clients. I'm thinking Rose for some reason. Anyway, she's probably listed under something like "contact akashic records." You dont have to be with her physically.

There are two esoteric sites, Next Level Soul, and Myth Vision, who have guests from time to time who are NDErs. The commentators probe the experiences well.

HAPPY HUNTING !!!!!

7. I have had a number of past life regressions,

and they have been very helpful to understanding who I am, how I got here, why certain people are in my life.

What people don't really understand is that most of us have lived far more lives than we realize. I've uncovered about 15 so far, and I suspect that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The lives I've looked at have specific connection to this life, and I suspect I've lived other lives that are far less connected to this current one.

If you have not already read the books by Michael Newton, Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls get them as soon as you can. They are fundamental to my understanding of reincarnation.

Oh, and if you are able to do a past-life regression, do have a very clear question in mind, such as Why Was I Born Into This Family, which does seem to be your essential questions.

I'll share this: the man who was my father in this lifetime, has shown up twice as a husband. Once in a lifetime that ended very badly, when we were accused of being witches, and executed by Pressing. Which explains an odd memory I've had my entire life, of being under some kind of board with Dad next to me, and people are piling stones on the board. The other life he was a blacksmith, we were married, had three daughters (two of whom were my mother and one of my sisters). He wanted a son, and I reluctantly agreed to have another child. I gave birth to identical twin boys, who looked exactly like him. One is my son in this lifetime.

Our connections over time are profound, meaningful, and important. I hope you are able to do a regression or several, and find some answers to your questions.

We are here to learn various spiritual lessons. We chose this life. We chose the challenges we face. Whatever we go through is never a punishment.

There are a gazillion books out there about reincarnation. I do think the Michael Newton books are the best place to start, then look at some others. There's also a lot out there about Near Death Experiences, which are also useful.

I hope you get to do what you want here.

About 15 years ago, I had participated in a group life regression held at local metaphysical book store. The regression was done in a large room where everyone lay on the floor and the teacher/ host led us into a deep state with suggestions like you are walking down stairs, you are at a landing, you continue down stairs...

Once we were in a deep state, we were asked to look at our feet, to get an idea of our shoes or feet. It was such a vivid image for me that I thought what little feet I had.
A few other questions I remember were, what was the happiest day of your life? How did you die? I got very vivid images of different times in my life. When we came out of, I was so emotionally touched that I cried.

Like you, I came from a dysfunctional family and wondered about past life relationships with them. I recognized my mother as a peripheral figure who was a housekeeper in the life. I also recognized a serious love relationship. Other than those 2, no recognition, even though I had a father who played a big role in that life and gave birth to a daughter, which I considered the happiest day of my life.

In my instance, the past life regression gave no insight into my relationship with my dysfunctional family, except to confirm my belief that I was not really part of the family, and destined to make my own way in this life.

Edited to add: Someone at Lily Dale is offering a group past life regression via Zoom. Let me know if you want more info.

I do not recall asking any questions but, the experience shed light on some of my actions & feelings in this life.

I have had memories of 3 other past lifetimes that come through dreams- just brief glimpses/snapshots into those lifetimes. It was the emotion I felt that let me know that these were past lifetimes.
