Year of the Dragon in 2012

This will be a year of the Black Water Dragon.

But I'm a bit confused. Chinese New Year is this Monday, January 23 under the New Moon.
But according to the web site I've linked, the Year of the Dragon doesn't start until Feb. 4.
Does anyone know why that is?

Did I post a video in this thread? Thought I did. I'm hesitant to repost, not knowing if I did and if so why it's not here?

I do know there was a problem a day or two ago with all videos posted. It was a code issue on DU's side I believe, and I'm pretty sure it's fixed now.

Glad you like it.

Chinese New Year is gaining in popularity, looks like. I don't watch tv but happened to see the intro for 'The Talk', and the women came out wearing a dragon. Very mainstream. Look for it on your toy aisle.

I'm turning 60 in a matter of weeks.

Let's hope this is a good year for us, fellow Dragoness!

Wondering whether this year I'll find work, get unstuck psychologically, have any kind of decent luck.

Last year even my vegetable garden was a disaster, with early blight destroying the heirloom tomatoes, and high winds knocking down the bean poles just as they finally started producing. Being outdoor was almost intolerable because of the mosquito population explosion caused by all the train and the devastation of the brown bat population.
