Hilarious strange dream
Last night, I had the strangest dream. I dreamed that I looked in my cupboard and found a huge mixing bowl filled with cornstarch. It is a mixing bowl I own, and it holds about eight cups. So the bowl had eight cups of cornstarch in it, not covered or anything. When I saw the bowl of cornstarch, I remembered putting it there twenty years ago.
The only reason I may have been thinking about cornstarch is that I was thinking about making a lemon meringue pie. I have not done that in about twenty years. It takes a long time to make that type of pie from scratch, so I don't do it. Besides, we have apples from our trees. I would be more likely to make apple pie, and pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie over the holidays.
The dream was not the least bit disturbing. I thought it was funny. Twenty year old cornstarch, in pristine condition. LOL.

What did you do 20 years ago to thicken the plot?

(31,423 posts)Maybe twenty years is approximate. I can't think of anything.
I was happy that the dream, instead of leaving me with a disturbed feeling, caused me to wake up laughing.

I know what you mean about the dreams that leave you smiling. I have them a lot. It hasn't always been that way, though. It took me a long time to get to this point.
I think of dreams as messages from the subconscious. Things that are trying to get through but that your conscious doesn't want to acknowledge for whatever reason.
