George Lakoff's book, "The Little Blue Book"
"THe Essential Guide to Thinking and Talking Democratic"
I highly suggest this book if you're not aware of Mr. Lakoff
He shows clearly how Reps brainwash people by using certain "frames" or perceptions of events or policies, such as Reagan abusing the term "liberal".
He counters by showing how Dems need to "reframe" the way the express themselves.
He tells you why and how.

(2,185 posts)James Lee Burke "feast Day for Fools"
Burke is probably America's best living novelist.
His writing makes your hair stand on edge.
In a good way...
In my own way, I'm learning not to over react when facing
the despicable words thrown at us.
But it's hard not to fight fire with fire...
Lakoff is right. Mudcat Saunders is also a good one with
the linguistics of demography..

(3,794 posts)they really can't get it together, while he Reps are vicious and intentionally manipulative
Dems need education, too much "go with the drift" with the Dems chart. Not the way to counter Reps
