Today's Gospel Reading is my favorite

Sunday April 7, 2019 was the reading about the adulterous who was to be stoned.

I see the law and order republicans with their stones in their hands. The reading says Jesus wrote something in the sand but doesn't say what. I speculate it was something like you think it is ok to grab a woman by the pussy yet you want to stone this woman.

The Jesus says let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

both the new and old testaments and found that the punishment for the exact same crime is harsher on women than men. So does it surprise you that the woman is getting treated more badly?

involved in the adulterous affair was proscribed in the Law.
Why not, he wondered.
Then he considered the importance of the act of forgiveness in our lives.
I believe that would be in contrast to "stoning" one who had sinned against us.
