Another "Christian" who is not helping

Meet Rick Joyner. He wants the "Lord" to come down and pull of a coup against the lawfully elected government of the United States.

“The balance of powers in the legislative and judicial branches were supposed to balance and keep in check, hold in check, the potential tyranny from the executive branch overstepping their bounds,” Joyner explained. “The people are not always right, it depends on what people they are. And another thing the founders warned about is this thing will only work for a moral and a religious people. You remove morality, you remove the religious influence, and it cannot work.”

“We’re headed for serious tyranny, a terrible tyranny right now,” he continued. “But guess what? The kingdom is coming, the Kingdom of God is coming. And America is not the Kingdom of God. I think we have been used in some wonderful and powerful ways by God, we’ve been one of the most generous nations in history. We’ve done so much good.”

“That’s why I appeal to the Lord: Don’t let us be totally destroyed, please raise up those who will save us. And as I’ve been telling friends for a long time, no election is going to get the right person in there because the system is so broken.”

Joyner added that the “only hope is a military takeover, martial law.”

And this is the same guy who paled around with Sarah Palin. Ugh.

Another "Christian" who gives all the actual followers of Jesus Christ a bad name.

I'm not that good at writing prayers, but here's mine

Jesus Save Us From Your Followers
O Lord, who showed us a way of thinking and acting,
that strives to create communities,
heal those who are sick both in body and mind,
comfort the afflicted and the grieving,
and support the least amongst us.

We humbly ask that You save us from all those who,
use Your Holy Name for the furtherance of their evil goals;
those who seek to dominate and control others in Your Holy Name,
those who seek to use Your Holy Name to justify the violence they commit,
those who misuse Your Name to oppress the poor, the widows, and the orphans,
those who misuse Your Name to oppress others based on who they love,
those who misuse Your Name to oppress women and reduce them to 2nd class citizens,
those who misuse Your Name to justify the destruction of the environment,
those who misuse Your Name to justify their hatred of other races and religions.

We pray that you save us from such people who pervert Your message,
who pervert religion from a balm from the trials and tribulations of life,
into a terrible instigator of grief and hatred that has already caused much suffering here on Earth.

We pray that you save us from such people who misuse Your Name so that,
those who have remained true to your message may continue your work here on Earth,
that all may work, live, and be part of a community without fear of violence
and that we may establish a community here on Earth that fulfills the vision You had 2000 years ago.

Amen.

"Not good at writing prayers"? I vehemently disagree.

The Spirit moved you to write a whopper right there...well done!
