I saw a good movie today on TV

Comcast XFINITY cable is showing Cinemax movies and some TV shows free, not on the Cinemax channels but the Comcast XFINITY ‘On Demand’ area (for me it's channel #1).

I watched and enjoyed “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone”. It’s a “feel good”, Christian movie, similar to what may be seen on the Hallmark channel.

"At the story’s beginning, the title character, played by Brett Dalton is at a low point in his life. The former childhood star of a hit sitcom, his career has stalled and his hard-drinking, hard-partying ways have resulted in his being sentenced to 200 hours of community service for trashing a hotel rooftop bar.

Gavin winds up fulfilling his obligations at a megachurch in his suburban Illinois hometown, where’s he’s given janitorial duties by the affable pastor (D.B. Sweeney). But when he notices that the church is putting on a lavish theatrical production about Jesus, Gavin auditions for, and wins, the title role.

Initially flip and condescending, Gavin becomes increasingly fond of the churchgoers ..."

I was just searching for Hidden Figures on xfinity voice remote and it told me it was free on Cinemax but I went there and was told to subscribe. Now I understand I have to go thru On Demand for free.
