The Sin of Christian Nationalism

The Episcopal church is hosting a webinar on The Sin of Christian Nationalism on October 15. If anyone is interested, I think I can send you the information.

For decades I've wanted mainline churches to speak out and reclaim our faith from crazed fundies. (I don't know that all fundies are crazed, but some of them are.) The Episcopal church will never get the same press attention as the Falwells, but I think this is a first step.

X Catholic here. I have little use for organized religion in the land of the free since many have no use for others freedom. Thanks for the offer. But I’ll pass. I’m versed enough in the sin to oppose it at every turn.

...the Anglican Church has been geared towards putting the kibosh on movements such as Christian Nationalism. The experience of the protectorate of Oliver Cromwell saw to that.

And an obvious English rebuttal to what gets terms "Christian Nationalism" is to point out that when it was tried in England following the English Civil War, it was so unpopular that people were desperate to restore the Monarchy as soon as Cromwell died!
