Parent arrested after saying he would ‘burn’ down his son’s Jewish day school over mask policy

A parent of a child at an Orthodox Jewish day school in North Miami Beach was arrested after saying he wanted to “burn this school to the f***ing ground” in a group chat for parents opposed to the school’s mask policy, according to CBS Miami.

Mark Polyakov’s son was a student at Scheck Hillel Community School, which requires students to wear masks indoors and outdoors.

Polyakov reportedly wrote several messages in a parent group chat of about 70 parents called “No more masks hillel” on Feb. 8 in which he said he wanted to burn the school down.

4. I don't care what religion, creed, sexual preference, political thoughts, etc., one may have,

threatening people w/ bodily harm or to burn down structures because of one's personal belief goes beyond the pale.

It's really a big disappointment to me, in that I respected orthodoxy a little more than the usual radical side of various religions, in that I thought they were perhaps more educated than the general population, so thus, their opinions, their statements carried a little more weight. That is, more prepared to take on life's challenges. I know that one person's extreme viewpoints shouldn't tip the pot too much , but such views I think aren't made in a vacuum.

Burn down everything? Reminds of what some other thuggish groups are known to think.

I guess this person's viewpoint makes it abundantly clear now that not everyone has a full and abundant share of brains when the good folks upstairs passed them all out. NO, people such as this are not as smart, as graceful, as educated, as open-minded, etc. to allow others in this great country of ours to have their different opinions, and instead, threatened to burn down something, such as a school, etc. Why don't you go out and shoot the school's elders, or the other parents, etc. while you're at it?
