I'm decorated for Christmas!

I was nonplussed tonight when I pulled out of my garage to go food shopping to discover that one (some?) of my neighbors at my new house had evidently taken pity on my undecorated home (and that of my disabled next door neighbor) and placed luminarias ( paper bags filled with sand and which have a short squat lit candle inside. A southwest type of Christmas decoration. Very pretty and low tech) along the sidewalk in front of my house!

I suspect it was my across the street neighbor, since they are the only ones in my immediate area who decorated with luminarias. They are very sweet people and I’m sure they meant well and probably had luminarias left over from their own sidewalk display. But really? I guess I’m just going to have to buy and display a Hanukah menorah next year. I’m sure it never occurred to them that my lack of Christmas decor means I’m not a Christian.

Our houses are attached on one side, so not too much width. But very creative of you!
