(Jewish Group) Six NYC Council members reject establishment of 'End Jew Hatred Day'

The New York City Council on Thursday voted to establish April 29 as an annual “End Jew Hatred Day.” Four members abstained and two voted against the resolution.

Among those on the 51-member council who did not support the measure was Shahana Hanif, a representative of the heavily Jewish Brooklyn neighborhoods of Borough Park and Park Slope.

“Your antisemitism is showing,” Inna Vernikov, the Jewish Ukrainian Republican Brooklyn councilwoman who introduced the bill, said to the six who rejected it.

After the vote, Vernikov told The Jerusalem Post she felt "sick to my stomach."

Sometimes, bigotry is OK. Oh, when it is Jews, because hate against us is just like "bigotry" against redheads.

Despicable but not surprising when you look at the anti-jewish trash that voted against a simple symbolic resolution.

... and those colleagues' issues, could vote against this resolution and impugn that those colleagues don't support ending discrimination against Arabs or Muslems: it is breathtaking. This is a Muslim who was elected in a heavily Jewish district.

I admit, when I saw "End Jew hatred" I was taken with the thought that this was about a Jewish hatred of others and was confused where that could even be a thing. Yes, all hatred of all groups should end, but the fact is certain of us are hated and it needs to be said explicitly: end hatred of Jews, Black lives matter, end violence against Asians. These and other sentiments should not require any sort of ethical or moral quandary to support. End antisemitism! End hate.

The far left and far right are united by antisemitism.
