In a direct matchup, Harris leads Trump by a 72 to 25 percent margin, which is an improvement from Bidens 67 to 26 percent margin in April.
Harris has a net 13-point higher favorability rating (+38 favorable/unfavorable) than Biden (+25 favorable/unfavorable).
Jews hold very negative views of Trump (76 percent unfavorable), JD Vance (73 percent unfavorable), and the Republican Party (76 percent unfavorable).
The future of democracy is the most important issue determining how Jews will vote (44 percent), followed by abortion (28 percent), and the economy/inflation (24 percent).

(96,520 posts)82% for VP Harris, which is better than 2020 for President Biden.
I personally suspect that both numbers will be higher for VP Harris in November, closer to 80 percents by Jews, and in the 90 percents for African Americans. I am skeptical of polls saying 12 to 15% blacks would vote for trump. Not going to happen.

(9,352 posts)I've seen some real concern about how the US has handled the Oct 7 attack, especially given that 35 (perhaps 43) American citizens were killed during the attack.
There is also concern about Israel being forced into a cease-fire agreement that will only empower Hamas to repeat Oct 7-type attacks.
There is also concern about bothsiderism. I've seen a lot of that here.
Granted that the US has given Israel more support than any other nation, but there is a great deal of worry that weapon sales will be curtailed.
Some of this is illogical, but elections are often not about logic but are about perceived emotions.
At least one of the more powerful online Jewish influencers has gone full Trump and is vocal about it. I haven't included any links as that might violate DU terms, and I think I'm at risk already. . .

(9,352 posts). . . for non-Jews to grasp even a small amount of the trauma and continued shock the entire Jewish community is experiencing post Oct 7. The recent slaughter of the 6 just before they were rescued was hydrochloric acid on the still gaping wound.

(9,352 posts)I do not agree with this article, though the points made in it are valid and of concern to many. I think it's important for Democrats to know what is going on here, as the Jewish voting block is powerful. Right now, it's strongly weighted democratic, and hopefully, it will stay that way. But it's a cliff edge.
