2. Self-Consciousness dies upon biological death

Whereas Universal Consciousness is nothing more than the activity within the laws of physic innate to the Universe which are not at all fully understood. Tom Campbell goes into his beliefs after years of mathematics, testing and theory. Campbell is an elder, wise and amazing, but like the "Computer Simulated Universe Hypothesis"* his view of infinite consciousness is a curious supposition which in the end is a fun contemplation but not something in which I find some finite solution.

I am not a physicist. And Campbell says a lot of what we don't understand, and make suggestions for, sounds like "Paranormal" explanations: ie. some of Quantum mechanics. To me it seems it is just that the theory is incorrect, inexact, or unknown and needs work. String Theory-Supersymmetry has had some fascinating implications and drawbacks which Campbell never discusses.

As a thinking person, I have problems with our consciousness controlling reality and originated first (the Universe did). Consciousness is collection of information...collected and moved forward and built on, and growing. Others like Stephen Hawkings, and Green debate this and have other ideas. I have no idea who is right but gather around the idea we are not, nor is our conscious, the center of anything. And, consciousness is a collective mystery of out biologic activities. 9. I'm with you on some of this...

...but I think consciousness in Campbell's work refers to more than human consciousness. Also the more aware we are of our conscience effect on our reality, the more access we can have to using it consciously. Most of our waking moments are directed by consciousness and many of our responses to events are directed by subconscious. Parsing all of this and understanding it better and at deeper levels usually gives me happier results in my life. I don't know why this is, I don't have enough science background, but when I add in the observer's effect on particles concept, I begin to see possibilities. I do believe consciousness is the best frontier we can explore to turn our world into a more peaceful home.

Consciousness exists. This is in disputable. Indeed consciousness is required to even try denying the existence of consciousness.

Consciousness is non-negateable because (again) it takes consciousness to know or to deny, to prove or refute anything.
One's own conscious-beingness is self-evident, requiring no proof. "I know I am" is a priori to knowing who I am (gender, nationality, desires, interests, occupation, activity, all other concepts).

Knowledge exists in consciousness. There is nothing known except by consciousness. Without consciousness, nothing can be explained.
Consciousness can not be explained away. Science can reveal where to find in the brain, various emotions, intentions, memories and other 'objects of consciousness" and activity.
Science can't explain nor negate consciousness-knowingness (separate from the known) without using the very consciousness that is being investigated.

Thus the Vedas call ultimate reality "sat-chit-ananta" or satcitananda.
Sat=existence
Chit=consciousness
Ananta=limitless; or ananda, usually called bliss but better understood as free of all limitations.

Consciousness is not equivalent to 'what is known', the objects of consciousness, nor to the brain nor to that of which we are aware.
