Is Bernie Sanders an atheist?

I have been following him on FB for some time, and he seems very progressive on most issues. Anybody know where he stands on religion?

I'm sure the topic of his religion will be discussed by everyone soon enough but I doubt he'll come out of the closet if he's an atheist.

Seems to place him squarely in the "separation of church and state" camp. Hopefully he can avoid being pushed into "god bless America " politics.
