The thousands of people who will type "amen" or "prayers" makes me crazy.

Because what hurt people need -- apart from prayers that don't actually do anything, of course -- is insincere sympathy they'll never read from people they don't even know exist.

If prayers work, why are we still in such a shitty mess?
And the firat person to say "God moves in mysterious ways' gets a knuckle sandwich.

As I keep saying - those ways appear to behave exactly like random chance.

Of course, we ignorant non-believers would need a Sophisticated Theologian to explain exactly why that is. Probably in about 500,000 words with footnotes and copious references to the serious philosophers like Aquinas, Augustine and Franklin Graham. SPOILER ALERT: the conclusion of those 500,000 words will be "Shit happens, and we don't have a clue why. But God really does exist, and loves everyone! And to show your gratitude for His awesome love, please send Him money. And stop asking questions."
