http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/12/science/ligo-gravitational-waves-black-holes-einstein.html?_r=0A major scientific discovery, made bu objective observation. Yet many believers will tell us we just think it's true because of our belief in science. No different than believing in angels and saints.

Oops, wrong, it is a great reason. I just love times like this, when a theory can actually be proven.

(9,356 posts)1. Einstein was religious so this proves God exists. Einstein didn't say "Dawkins doesn't play dice with the universe," now did he? No, that wasn't no metaphor. My upcoming article at Raw Story will prove Einstein not only believed every word in the King James Version, he prayed every morning and frequently talked in unknown tongues.
2. The Bible predicted this long ago. See the Apocrypha, chapter (mumble) verse (mumble). "And lo, the evil cloud in the sky appeared as a great black hole."
3. Wasted money that should have gone to real geniuses like Pat Robertson and Creflo Dollar. For their vital ministries to the poor.
4. When these science eggheads die, the loving God will cast all them into a black hole in the deepest part of HELL! Checkmate, scientists!

(4,549 posts)The experiment that detected gravitational waves reminded me of the experiment that first measured the speed of light. Very elegant.
