Hi all-
I know its been a long time since I've been here but I thought some of you might remember Evoman. Sadly he passed away from colon cancer last week. I was honored to be his facebook friend. He had quite a struggle the last few years but always remained true to his skeptical atheistic roots and no where did he "find god" even as he knew his time was running short. I think there are a few people here who might want to know this and I post this in the spirit of remembering a good person and a good friend even if I was never able to meet him in real life. I've had my struggles too and he was there to help me with them as well. Goodbye to one of the smartest people I knew...

It would be nice to tell Skinner so Evoman can be put on the In Memoriam page.
Edited to add, I notified Skinner of Dan's passing. Hope that's okay.
Again, condolences on your loss.

(50,566 posts)I got to know him a bit through Facebook and even though his death wasn't unexpected it was still a shock. Too. Damn. Young.
And if anyone says he "lost his battle with cancer" Dan vowed he would come back and haunt this person, even though he didn't believe in supernatural nonsense like ghosts or god/s. 😬 He sure had a sharp sense of humor and he was honest as hell. I'm really going to miss him. 😥
I was so happy just to make him happy by sending him his favorite lollipops a couple of times. I'm missing him so badly already

(34,582 posts)Evoman was one of my favorites, and one of the first people to let me know it was okay not to believe. He, with others, helped me mentally during that time. I will miss him.
