(2,107 posts)In the skit, a scientist was demonstrating a drug that made it possible for people to remember their past lives. Two friends volunteered and each took a pill. Their eyes rolled a bit. When they looked at each other, one screamed Gamadian pig! The other growled Lemurian dog! And they lunged at each others throats.
I think it was on a show called "Pink Lady" something. Could be wrong, though.
Oh well.

(52,262 posts)During the meeting I took her to she was selected from the audience. I knew all about what she was going through and a lot of of personal info. She was lucky and the guy felt energy and focused on her. He told her EXACTLY what was going on with her physically and about mental and emotional stuff. It was so accurate she started to shake and had to go have a cigarette. This thing is...the guy never asked her a single question, like" do you know anybody who... or "is there a person with the letter "j" in their name", etc. He wasn't fishing or being vague and generalizing. I am an Atheist but I have seen, heard, and felt normal and abnormal things for 10 days after my dog died at home. My friend who taught me to read tarot cards felt the same thing at her home at the same time I did. She LOVED my dog. Energy is energy and we only use 10% of our brains...so I can understand that there are things that we personally experience but do not have the science and knowledge to explain these things at this time in our evolution.

(2,107 posts)Every time we make a stride in understanding life, we look back and see how it makes sense. Claws make sense. Scales make sense. A whole organism dying suddenly, at once, when only a portion of it is damaged doesn't make complete sense. Why would nature create an "off switch" for awareness? Ever notice how animals that are preyed upon, like mice or rabbits, die so easily once their situation is sealed by a predator? It's as though an ejector seat under their awareness is triggered, and out they go. Pure natural selection can't account for this. Neither animals with the "off switch" trait, nor those without it, would live to pass their trait along to offspring. Why then is the "off switch" so completely pervasive? It makes sense if the preservation of the cohesion of the animal's awareness were an evolutionary priority. If evolution went out of its way to see that a rabbit's awareness didn't just end haphazardly, but could remove itself at once in some form, then the same is true for your dog and for you.

(7,911 posts)... It is a well known fact among unicorn researchers that when you see a unicorn it uses a magical forgetfulness spell on you so that you will not remember seeing it.
Same explanation works for heaven. When you're born god casts a forgetfulness spell on you so you won't remember. Could be, right? And you can't prove me wrong.
(I hope I don't need to add )
