Alabama 2019 tornado article misses the point, entirely

Thanking God After the Alabama Tornado Sends the Wrong Message
BY SARAHBETH CAPLIN
MARCH 6, 2019 9SHARES

In the video, according to CNN, Reese, who suffered a broken hip and will undergo surgery on Monday, tells her grandson, Kingston Frazier, via FaceTime, that she thanks God for sparing her life even though she lost her house.

“I thank the Lord. You tell God, ‘Thank you, God.’ You hear me? You hear me? Tell God thank you. Tell God thank you,” Reese tells her grandson.

These people are expressing gratitude in the face of tragedy, so their reactions are understandable. But still, you can’t help but wonder if they would dare say any of these things to the faces of those whose family members or friends were not so fortunate. Reading between the lines, what the survivors are also saying is, “Thank you for letting someone else’s house get destroyed instead of mine.”

But, nowhere in the article does anyone even consider that "god" could have just erased the tornado altogether and spared all the loss of life and destruction.

"OH, it's a sign of god because the whole building fell down except the part where we hung up the cross...."

DUMBNASS!!!! "god" leveled your god-fearing-ass' building, you dumbass!!!

Seems that most of the time someone is spared they are absolutely certain that it was God who saved them. If so, that means God made a purposeful, deliberate decision to kill those other people.
If I go into a building and murder a dozen people I am not likely to be praised by the survivors for saving their lives. What a bunch of nonsense.

It's that god had a greater plan that we can't understand now, but we will understand when we see jesus.

And they are thanking him for NOT murdering them too. Pray to that god who just killed off a lot of your neighbors. Not a smart move, he may notice he missed killing you off too.
