More Than 100 Children Baptized At NC School Without Parents' Permission: Report

New York (Knewz) — More than 100 children were baptized in North Carolina without their parents’ permission, and now the school that performed the practice is apologizing, according to the report.

Northwood Temple Academy, a private school in the Fayetteville, North Carolina, area posted on its Facebook page last week:

“I feel it in my bones, You’re about to move! Today we had over 100 middle and high school students spontaneously declare their faith and get baptized today. We will have more pictures of these powerful moments posted over the next couple of days!”

According to a report from the Fayetteville Observer, three students had their baptisms scheduled as part of a Spiritual Emphasis Week. The offer of baptism was then given to other students, with more than 100 choosing to participate.

We can bake our religion into our cakes and jobs, but this is no biggie.

Not that that excuses what they did, but it is a little less odious than it first reads.

If I'm upset about it, I'm not being true to my beliefs.

At a daycare that had a religious title. Something like God's Green Acres daycare. No biggie, everything around that area had some stupid religious title. Amish and Mennonite country.

But......they then started preaching god to my children. We took them out of the daycare.

Yeah, sometimes you have to put up with superstitious nonsense to get the services you need but you don't want some ignorant religious mumbojumbo being performed over your kids in order to get the services.

Yeah baptism means nothing but it is kind of scary to the kids and pushes them closer to accepting the imaginary ideas of religion.

Even in a 'Christian' school, parents should have the right to determine how their children are raised.

and are leaving the churches and it gives me hope. But all around me are the religious fanatics changing our way of life and determined to make America a Christian nation, whatever the hell that means. They're indoctrating children on a daily basis and now all taxpayers will help pay for these propaganda centers to continue. They've always been after the money and the Surpreme Court is giving it to them.
